Choc Peanut Smoothie

Serves 1

Gluten Free & Dairy Free

My Choc Peanut Smoothie is an absolute winner. Nutritionally balanced yet tastes just like a peanut butter cup! I love this as a breakfast option after exercising in the morning, as the addition of banana provides complex carbohydrates required for restoration of depleted muscle glycogen levels that occurs during your workout.

The inclusion of healthy fats (coconut and peanut butter) and protein, will also keep you feeling super satisfied, so expect this smoothie to be on repeat.

Ingredients

1 banana (frozen)

3 tablespoons vanilla protein powder

2 tablespoons coconut desiccated

1 tablespoon peanut butter (natural)

1 tablespoon cacao powder

1 serve collagen powder*

¾ cup water

½ cup ice

Toppings: Cacao nibs, coconut, sliced banana or peanut butter.

Method

Place all ingredients into a blender and blend until a desired consistency is reached.

Pour the smoothie into a glass and add your choice of toppings. Enjoy!

*Optional. I get my collagen powder from Nutra Organics:
